This week we're trying out a theme that I haven't seen anyone take a serious stab at--Babylonian Soul Hide. While it doesn't have the same level of tools as a Sadducee or even Moabite Soul Hide defense, it does have some unique strengths that come in the form of strong characters, both in battle and in territory. The balance of capture abilities with Soul Hide can make the defense tricky to navigate, but the approach I took with this deck was to pretty just put in everything I wanted to... So this version is a little rough at 63 cards, but I thought it was good enough for a first take, even though it was going to be against Jay "floodedRED" Chambers. I've gotten some heat for taking half-baked decks into my games with Jay before, but I've had decent success against Jay recently in Lackey Grand Prix games, so I felt like the risk of losing was manageable. Where I didn't have as much recent success against Jay was at the Thomas Jay Chambers Memorial Tournament a couple months ago, where Jay used a Nativity/Demon-Greek-Thieves deck. For this game, he brought that defense back but this time paired with a fairly standard Joshua offense.
